No Negative Self-Talk: the Father HIMSELF Loves You
/… for the Father himself loves you,
because you have loved me and have believed
that I came from God. John 16:27 ESV
Do you know in the depths of your being that God your Father loves you and even likes you? Or do you feel like He just tolerates you; puts up with you?
Does negative self-talk dog your steps? Are these your thoughts and maybe even words out of your mouth:
I’m an imposter, a nobody…
I’m stupid, and no one loves me…
If I could just “get my act together,” God would love me and maybe even like me.
My sins are standing between me and God…
I’m a failure.
STOP!
Jesus assured His followers the night before He died.
… the Father himself loves you,
because you have loved me and have believed
that I came from God. John 16:27 ESV
He wanted them and us to experience our Father God’s love, not just His own … and His Father’s presence, through the indwelling Spirit.
Later that evening He prayed a revealing truth:
O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you,
and these know that you have sent me.
I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known,
that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.
John 17:25-26 ESV
Did you see that? The Father loves us with the same love that He has for His perfect Beloved Son!
You and I are our Father’s beloved ones.
He Himself loves us …
EMBRACE His LOVE today!
